Saco, Maine is an incredible Southern Maine coastal city with a historic downtown, miles of trails, a beautiful beach and the Saco River. It is a wonderful place to call home. Saco Main Street is looking for an individual leader who is entrepreneurial, visionary, energetic, innovative, imaginative, motivated, flexible and has a good sense of humor. We are now accepting resumes for the positon of Program Director. It is the organization’s intent for this position to transition to the Executive Director role by the end of 2021.

Working with the Saco Main Street Executive Director the Program Director coordinates activities within downtown Saco and the downtown historic district for revitalization, business vitality and community engagement programs as an integral foundation for overall economic development. The Program Director is responsible for coordinating all program activities and volunteers, as well as representing the community regionally and nationally as appropriate. In addition, the Program Director should help guide the organization as its objectives evolve. As mentioned above it is the Saco Main Street’s intent that this position will transition to the Executive Director role by the end of 2021.
Saco Main Street is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded in 2002. Since that time the organization has worked to spearhead revitalization of the downtown area. Saco Main Street is one of ten certified Main Street programs in Maine and is aligned with the Maine Downtown Center’s Main Street Program, the National Main Street Center and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
