The Town of Bowdoinham is currently seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Planning & Development Director. This is a professional and administrative position responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of the Town’s planning, economic and community development goals and objectives. This position works closely with the community, Town committees and community organizations to support Bowdoinham businesses, coordinate community events, create Town plans and manage projects. Work includes grant administration and budget management. This position is also responsible to maintaining the Town’s website and Facebook page and producing The Bowdoinham News.
The Town is seeking an individual with considerable knowledge of ordinances, planning processes and project management. Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrated leadership ability, and a collaborative and team-oriented management style. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in planning, community development or a related field is preferred.
